Itinerario Lake Singrenacocha
4:30 am | Pickup from your hotel and departure from Cusco
i>We’ll start the day very early with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. We’ll travel south along the Ausangate Route, passing through rural landscapes and Andean mountains. During the approximately three-hour journey, we’ll stop for a light breakfast in Tinke or the nearby community of Ocongate.
8:30 am | Arrival at the Mallma community and hike to Singrenacocha
i>Once there, we begin a hike of approximately 1 to 1 hour and 30 minutes (one way) to the impressive Singrenacocha Lagoon, surrounded by the imposing Ausangate snow-capped mountain and multicolored mountains. It’s a route of low technical difficulty, but the altitude demands a leisurely walk.
i>Along the way, we’ll see bofedales, grazing alpacas, and perhaps vizcachas. Upon arrival, you’ll have plenty of time to rest, explore, and take spectacular photos of the lagoon’s turquoise reflection, which changes color with the sunlight.
12:00 pm | Picnic lunch overlooking the lagoon
i>We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch on the shore of the lagoon, surrounded by unspoiled nature. It includes a sandwich, fruit, juice, water, a snack, and an Andean dessert.
1:00 PM | Walk back to Cusco.
i>We begin our return walk to the point where our tour bus is waiting. Then, we begin the journey back to Cusco with a brief restroom stop or coffee en route.
5:30 pm | Arrival in Cusco and end of the tour
i>We arrived in Cusco at approximately 5:30 pm.
