Itinerario Cultural Experience in Patacancha
6:30 am | Departure from Cusco to Patacancha
Pickup from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley. We’ll make a brief stop in the town of Ollantaytambo to take photos and stretch our legs.
9:30 am | Arrival at Patacancha – Welcome Ceremony and Tinka for the Alpacas
The community will greet you with traditional costumes, Andean music, and a warm welcome. You’ll then participate in the ancestral Tinka ceremony , where families thank Pachamama and bless their alpacas with flowers, ribbons, and coca leaves to ask for fertility and protection.
11:30 am | Traditional lunch: Andean Pachamanca
After the ritual, you’ll enjoy a typical lunch prepared by the community: pachamanca , cooked underground with meat (chicken and beef), native potatoes, fava beans, corn, and Andean herbs such as huacatay. A sacred and delicious gastronomic experience.
1:00 pm | Experiential activities with families
After lunch, you will participate in everyday activities with the families of Patacancha, such as:
- Traditional Weaving Workshop: Learn to spin and weave alpaca wool using natural dyes.
- Community agriculture: Participate in field work (sowing or harvesting) depending on the season.
